Dear indiradio community,

First we want to thank everyone for the support you have given us. We’ve had over 200 songs uploaded in the past year and at least one thousand visits per month. Our previous post mentioned about a “crossroads” we were at in regards to the direction of the website. There have been many music sites cropping up and we’ve lost our way. So we’ve had a long talk about the future of indiradio and made a difficult decision. For the time being we are stopping work on the website.

One of the biggest reasons is that we’ve started a record label called 80/20 Records (www.8020records.com). We want to focus our time and effort on the label as we feel it can make a bigger difference in the music industry.

So does this mean indiradio is dead? Not exactly, right now it’s under ‘hiatus’. We would love to work on the website in the future and feel that it can still make an impact. We know many of you still use the site so we are keeping it up and running. You can still create artist accounts, upload music, create blog entries, everything that you were able to do before. We had to shut down the radio stations due to technological issues, however everything else is working.

Thank you again for your support. It’s been a great journey and are looking forward to the next journey that lies ahead for indiradio.
